George Lucas. He would have made his cultural mark if only because of American Graffiti (1973), but of course then there's Star Wars (1977) and that series' ensuing 5 other movies, Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and three other Indiana Jones movies, Lucasfilm, Skywalker Ranch, and on and on and on. Here is an interview Lucas did on The Charlie Rose Show, nearly a full hour with one of the most influential filmmakers and storytellers in the history of Hollywood.

BTW, Grazer and Imagine Entertainment just picked up the spec script "Tehran." I'll post something on that tonight.
