Today’s special Sunday interview is with one of Hollywood’s most influential screenwriters Carl Foreman. If he had only written High Noon (1952) that would have been enough of a legacy. But Foreman also wrote Cyrano de Bergerac (1950), The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), The Guns of Navarone (1961), and many more movies in a career that spanned nearly four decades. Enjoy some time with screenwriter Carl Foreman.

Interesting fellow. It would have been a great pleasure to have known him — to sit down and chat.
Thanks for sharing.
Keep Writing!

Cyrano De Bergerac! God, I love this 1950s version. Witty, funny, sad, exciting — can you ask more of a movie? A screenplay filled with wordplay and delightful dialog.
“Who… is… that… man… there?”
If you’ve only seen the Steve Martin Roxanne remake, please do yourself a favour and track down and watch Carl’s: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042367/
And what a fantastic performance by Jose Ferrer!
