If there was one online resource I could have placed onto a microchip and surgically implanted in my brain, it would be IMDB.com. Mostly it’s because half the references I make in conversations involve movies and now that I’m a certifiable old fart, I’m always stumbling on the name of that actor or the director of that movie. Now there’s even more reason to want that microchip. Courtesy of Judy who posted this in comments:
On another front, I see that imdb has launched its free streaming program for movies and TV episodes. So far there are a relative handful of movies (you have to search by title for those not featured on the site).
I checked it out — and Judy’s right. For example, here’s a link to watch Some Like It Hot. It appears that this is a deal with Hulu as they’re listed as the hosts of the video.
So thanks to IMDB and Hulu, even more ways to find something to do to avoid thinking about Sarah “Caribou Barbie” Palin as VP.

I have only been watching streaming through Netflix, but I’ll try some classics on IMDB, since the site is practically minimized on my laptop all day long — and one day I’ll cough up the dough to go pro too
Thanks for the info Judy and Scott. I’ve watched past episodes of TV shows but never entire movies.
