Here’s a fun interview on the fly with screenwriter Sacha Gervasi who not only co-wrote the screenplay for The Terminal (2004), he used to be the drummer for the rock band Bush. A graduate of UCLA’s film program, Sacha talks about his daily writing routine, which looks something like this:
9AM: Avoid writing
11AM: Become semi-depressed
Lunch
1:00: Make phone calls and write mother
Actually he writes every day and likes to start the day with “freehand writing.” He also talks about writing for an audience (or himself).
