Daily dialogue — December 25, 2008

“On Christmas Eve many years ago I laid quietly in my bed. I did not rustle the sheets, I breathed slowly and silently. I was listening for a sound I was afraid I’d never hear: the sound of Santa’s sleigh bells.”

– Hero Boy (Tom Hanks), The Polar Express (2004), screenplay by Robert Zemeckis & William Broyles Jr., based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg

  1. Wow, Go Into the Story is even open on Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Scott. Thanks for all you do throughout the year here on your blog!

  2. (Of course I may have been presumptuous with that ‘merry chirstmas’ and should have wished a ‘happy holidays.’ I am in the throes of Hanukkah myself so I should know better…)
