An interview on “The Jimmy Kimmel Show” with screenwriter Diablo Cody about her Showtime TV series “The United States of Tara.”
More with Cody in a June 30, 2008 appearance “immediately following a relaxed screening of Juno at the New Beverly Cinema” with an equally ‘relaxed’ Q&A session. The video quality is poor — bad lighting, shaky-cam — but Cody’s audio is fine.

Thanks for posting these Scott. So much ground has been covered about Cody that it’s nice to learn some new insights from her. (Good stuff even with bad lighting and a shaky cam.)
After seeing “Juno” last year and learning that she went to the University of Iowa, I jumped into the blogging for all the writers living outside LA:

Scott, I’m happy to post anything Diablo Cody related as she is walking proof that if you have talent, a distinctive voice, and write a great script with a strong story concept, Hwood is waiting for you. Plus, of course, Juno is a fantastic movie.
BTW, I checked out your blog Screenwriting From Iowa. Great stuff. The daily posts mean I’ll be checking there regularly. I’ve added the site to my blogroll. Hope we keep up the dialogue.
