The script, which had a working title of "Dirty Old Men," revolves around an aging playboy who finally meets the love of his life and his best friend and wingman for the past 40 years (Freeman) who does everything to break up the new couple. The tone is described as similar to "Wedding Crashers" and "The 40-Year-Old Virgin."Great comedy high concept. With Freeman and (in Warner Bros. dreams) Jack Nicholson in the leads, the movie is likely to attract a sizable response from Baby Boomers. And if the tone and set pieces are racy enough, along with a ensemble cast of younger actors, it should do well with male teens on up, and probably even work as a date movie.
Cagan penned Summit's "Bandslam," and Coolidge last year sold a high-profile pitch to Paramount titled "Cockblocker" with Seann William Scott and Topher Grace attached. They are buddies though a six-man writing troupe dubbed the Job Factory.Ah, "Cockblocker." Evidently "Dirty Old Men" is a variation-on-theme for Coolidge. BTW, "Cockblocker was set up in 2005, not 2008.
What do you think of the concept for "Dirty Old Men"?

It's a great concept. If only CGI were good enough to make actors younger.
They could have some good "flashbacks" - or in this case anecdotal lead-ins to the evolving relationship.
There are are tons of "playboy flaws" that could used to comedic effect - especially if the groom was the "worst" of the two.
