Today’s video interview is with screenwriter-director Jessica Bendinger whose writing credits include Bring It On (2000), The Truth About Charlie (2002), First Daughter (2004), Aquamarine (2006), and Stick It (2006). This interview is from Current TV and among other things, Bendinger talks about how important it is to understand and write your own unique vision of storytelling:

That was an absolutely fantastic interview and I love her point of view about the biz and the process.
I don't think I've seen a single movie this woman has written. That's about to change.
Next stop, Netflix!
Bring It On is a wonderful comedy. And evidently resonated with an audience as a friend of mine is currently writing Bring It On 6 (all the sequels have been straight to DVD).
The interview is also noteworthy in this respect: First time I think I've seen a subject mention the words "nipple hair" on camera.
STICK IT is good too– for what it is. It's about teenage gymnasts & their coach. Not everyone's cup of tea. But I found it well crafted.
Yeah, it was interesting how she says that the best writers aren't the most sucessful ones. The ones who succeed are the ones that are best at "the process"– the ones who can navigate the HW waters.
