Endgame Entertainment buys action thriller spec “Layover” from “rookie screenwriter” Zach Dean. Per Variety:
Dean, who up until recently taught film at a New York City high school, has been drawing heat off his edgy contemporary Western spec “Kin.” With the gritty urban tone of “Heat” and “Taken,” the new screenplay follows a single father in hiding who must delve back into the sketchy world of his past to find the teenage daughter he loses during a layover in Las Vegas.
Dean is repped by UTA and Madhouse Entertainment.
By my count, that’s the 19th spec script to sell in 2010.
