Wow, how did I miss this site: Collative Learning, hosted by Rob Ager. Terrific film analysis, deeply immersed in the idea of story as psychological journey. Here is Ager’s interpretation of Psycho, the main theme of which, he argues, is multiple personalities, not just Norman Bates and his mother, but virtually all the characters:

Happy Jung Birthday!
Phil, you are right. Today is Carl Jung's 136th birthday! I should have that date locked in my brain. But then I barely can remember my own anniversary (which is tomorrow by the way).
Thanks for that heads-up.
For those interested in learning more about Jung, go here.
I'm not a fan of psychoanalytical stuff like this. It feels like a literary student's critical thesis. Ugh.
I think if Hitch were around he would find this tremendously funny.
Perhaps good for the film stuff, but did you poke around that site?
Not one I'd want to be associated with, generally…take a look at the topics under "insight" – they include discussions of anti-white policies, discrimination against whites and fear mongering in women's magazines.
@Laura: I did NOT poke around the site. Thanks for that heads-up.
Wow, great stuff!
